Memorial Hydrangea
Hardiness Zones 4-10
The USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map is the standard by which gardeners and growers can determine which plants are most likely to thrive at a location.
Care Information
General Care
Sunlight: Choose a location with morning sun and afternoon shade. Watering: Give your Hydrangea about an inch of water each week or water as needed if the soil is not moist 2 inches beneath the surface. Fertilizer: Once a year apply a good time-release fertilizer in summer Pruning: Remove any wild branches, or prune for desired size and shape.
Planting Guidelines
Select a location with well drained soil and full to partial shade. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, place in hole and fill with soil. Water to help the roots settle.
Winter Care
During winter months, bring your hydrangea indoors. Cut back the watering during winter months. Some leaves will fall off, this is normal. Prune your hydrangea after it flowers to allow new growth in Spring.
Potting & Container
Choose a 3- 5-gallon or pot/container. Insure there are ample drainage holes. Fill the pot halfway with potting mixture, remove plant from original container and fluff roots. Place your hydrangea in the center of the container and add more potting mixture. Press down on soil slightly and water. Place your potted hydrangea in an area that receives partial sunlight.
